Maria Mannarino leverages her expert advocacy skills to provide the best criminal defense representation for her clients. As a community leader, Mannarino’s clients know that a fair criminal justice system is a priority and that she goes above and beyond to find resolution.
With a dual degree from Michigan State University in Journalism and Political Science, Mannarino then chose to pursue law at Wayne State University. She received her J.D. in 1986 and was immediately recruited by the WSU Office of General Counsel.
Ms. Mannarino spent 7 years with the Legal Aid and Defender Association before going into private practice. Clients count on her expertise as a criminal defense litigator at the state and federal level in both trial and appellate court.
Since 2006 she has been of counsel with Cripps & Silver; her tenacious, investigative style and desire to serve justice make Mannarino a perfect complement to the team.

She is an elected member of the Lathrup Village City Council and Mayor Pro Tem. Chair of Southfield//Lathrup Village Democratic Club. Ms. Mannarino’s focus is on public service and working toward addressing the inequities in the criminal justice system. Frequent speaker at schools encouraging greater understanding of how our system works, and encouraging increased public participation in the system.
