Ruth joins us after 10 years as a 36th District Judge. She has a rich and varied career in the law. She is an accomplished lead litigation attorney with judicial, criminal and government experience. Her criminal practice stems from over thirteen years as an assistant prosecuting attorney for the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office handling homicides, criminal sexual conduct, home invasions, assault, weapon and drug cases. Ruth is known for her persuasive oral argument skills in trial courts and her ability to take a matter to trial before a jury.
She has experience in contractual matters involving both private and governmental issues. As a prior Corporation Counsel for the City of Detroit, she has a depth of experience with in-house investigations involving criminal and employment matters.
